Year 3: Collaboration, Continuity and Community

Collaborating, Continuity, and Community: Restorative Practices in Schools

Prior to Year 3 training teams complete a reflection and discussion on Year 2’s progress. Working towards full implementation, Year 3 training includes one day of training for all site team members. Site team participants will analyze their site’s Staff Restorative Practices Survey and integrate their analysis throughout training as they learn new skills and develop a Year 3 implementation plan. Site teams demonstrate their site’s progress through a team presentation.

Centered around the Year 3 site plan and key components, Continuity, Collaboration, and Community, consultants schedule any combination of five hours of workshops, consulting, and/or coaching.

Seminar topics include

  • Using Fair Process for Decision-Making
  • Problem Solving
  • Expanding Leadership Skills
  • Continuum of Practices
  • Extending Restorative Practices to Parents/Caregivers and the “Community.”
  • Are you relieved when certain students are absent?
  • Do you have students who “push your buttons”?
  • Do you find yourself butting heads with the same students day-after-day?
